In this Arlo series we’re showcasing some of the key training providers we work with in different regions.
In this piece, we share the stories of four based training providers based in the UK & Ireland who’ve used Arlo to overcome high volumes of manual admin, deliver blended learning with Moodle and Zoom, launch national programs with complex scheduling requirements, and scale online course sales through marketing automation and optimized checkout workflows.
Before we jump into their stories, lets take a look at the specific problems we see training providers in the UK facing:
Cumbersome manual admin tasks: Despite the growing awareness around platforms that can help manage training, many providers still rely on spreadsheets email and disconnected systems to manage registrations, send joining instructions, issue certificates and collect learner and client feedback;
We see and hear from clients and prospects that these processes create duplicated effort amongst stretched teams, slow down delivery and leave little time for strategic growth.
Systems that don’t integrate with core platforms: This is a big one, many of the tools training providers use don’t talk to one another. For example, you might be using one system for course delivery, another for registrations, and a third for email communication.
Scheduling complexity across formats, teams and locations: Running repeat training across different locations, managing room bookings, trainer availability, and delivery modes (live online, face to face or blended) becomes increasingly difficult without centralised training scheduling and resourcing tools.
Inflexible registration and checkout experiences: Outdated forms, clunky payment processes, and a lack of support for discounts, bundles, and self-service features can result in abandoned registrations and poor learner experiences
Limited capacity to scale course delivery or sales operations: For providers delivering high volumes of training, growing the business without increasing headcount requires automation, particularly across learner communications, instructor scheduling, and sales workflows.
Unfortunately, we often see training providers overwhelmed with a combination of these problems, and together they lead to a slow down of day to day operations and bock the provider effectively being able to launch new course offerings, scale their delivery, and ultimately improve the experience they deliver to learners.
How UK Training Providers Are Solving These Challenges with Arlo
Here at Arlo we’ve managed to help a wide range of UK-based training providers tackle these challenges head-on, whether that’s:
Replacing manual, inbox-driven registration processes that were leading to double-handling and delayed confirmations
- Helping a provider integrate Arlo with Moodle to avoid manually duplicating learner data across platforms
- Managing multi-presenter scheduling that was previously tracked across disconnected spreadsheets
- Boosting online course revenue where outdated checkout systems were creating unnecessary friction for buyers
Below we share four mini stories, showing how we’ve solved these problems, and helped each provider solve their most pressing training management issues that were holding their business back.
From Inbox Chaos to Seamless Scheduling: How RPCI Transformed Course Management with Arlo
The Problem
The Retirement Planning Council of Ireland (RCPI) helps people to prepare and transition well to the next stage of living, retirement.
They are a registered charity established in 1974 and have provided over 10,000 courses to over 130,000 attendees. Arlo partnered with RPCI to assist them in being the best resource for people moving from work into retirement.
Before switching to Arlo, RPCI struggled with two legacy systems that couldn’t integrate with their website due to pricing model limitations. This forced all registrations to be managed manually via email, creating significant admin overhead and double handling.
System usability was also poor, with users facing page load times of 10+ seconds. After months of delays to their website upgrade project, RPCI needed a reliable solution, fast.
The Solution
After months of delays and frustrations with tools that couldn’t meet their needs, RCPI turned to Arlo for a purpose-built solution. The Arlo team quickly understood RPCI’s unique requirements, particularly the challenges around pricing structures, and the need for a system that could integrate clearly with their new website.
Within two weeks, Arlo was fully implemented. Using Arlo’s WordPress plugin, RCPI was able to publish and manage all public and private courses online, with registrations feeding directly into Arlo’s CRM, which eliminated the need for inbox management and manual data entry,
Arlo’s training scheduling tools also helped RCPI coordinate presenters and venues across their recurring courses. With course templates, RCPI could now reuse and adapt training sessions without rebuilding them from scratch, giving them a scalable, reliable scheduling process.

The Results
With Arlo in place, RCPI moved away from inbox-driven registration and time consuming double entry. Online registrations now sync directly through their website into Arlo’s CRM, automatically triggering confirmation emails and course details to both participants and presenters.
Their internal team no longer has to chase paperwork or manually process bookings. Presenters now arrive, fully informed with access to venue details, room setups, and real-time attendee lists.
Course set-up is faster, communication is consistent, and admin delays have been resolved – pages that once took over 10 seconds to load are now instantly responsive.
Most impactfully, RCPI now runs both public and private training more efficiently, using Arlo’s’ course templates, scheduling tools, and private course workflows that support recurring delivery across multiple venues.
The result is a more efficient, training business with room to scale.
“Booking venues and rooms is so easy, and I can add the room layout details so our presenters have all the details they need when they arrive”, Yvonne Power – Office Manager, RCPI.
From Manual Duplication to Integrated Delivery: How British Weight Lifting Fixed Their Blended Learning Bottlenecks with Arlo
The Problem
British Weight Lifting (BWL), the UK’s national governing body for Olympic and Paralympic powerlifting, delivered a wide range of face to face training and online training. But without integration between their learner registration system and Moodle LMS, their team had to manually copy learner details between systems, leading to delays, inconsistencies and extra work.
They also needed better visibility over learner groups, booking information, and performance tracking. Expanding their training formats to include blended and virtual learning added even more complexity, which their previous systems couldn’t support.
The Solution
To fix the disjointed setup, BWL selected Arlo as their training management system as it integrated directly with their existing Moodle LMS. Registrants were automatically assigned to the correct Moodle cohorts, with all course communications handled by Arlo’s email automation tools.
“When it came to a training management system for BWL, recommending Arlo was a no-brainer. The TMS met all of BWL’s requirements, and we know Arlo and Moodle integrate seamlessly from previous partnership experience”, says Luke Tillotson, Head of Sales at Titus. “The Arlo for Moodle plugin is completely free and well-documented, making the integration task an easy one for our developers”. Luke Tillotson, Head of Sales at Titus.
The team could now publish courses directly to their website, and take advantage of Arlo’s course calendar and filtering features to improve discoverability for learners.
Arlo also made it easy for BWL to manage group bookings, assign participants to Moodle cohorts ,track grades and competitions, and meet key compliance requirements set by their awarding bodies.
“We chose Arlo after looking at various training management systems and trialing the software. We needed the system to provide us a way of managing learners from the point of booking to completing their course, as well as streamlining the administration process in house as much as possible. As Arlo integrates with Moodle, it means we don’t have to manually update information between the two systems” Zoe Kettle-Metcalfe – Head of Workforce, British Weight Lifting.
When BWL decided to expand its offering to include more blended learning and virtual classroom delivery. Arlo and Moodle partner Titus worked together to support the launch. The rollout included Zoom session scheduling directly from Arlo, synced content in Moodle, and access to new content creation tools.

The Result
BWL now manages the full learner lifecycle, from booking through to certification, without jumping between platforms. Manual duplication isa thing of the past, learner comms are handled automatically, and team members can focus on program quality and growth.
Arlo gave BWl the foundation they needed to introduce new delivery formats, manage complex course structures, and support a growing number of coaching pathways across the UK.
From Admin Overload to Scalable Growth: How Taye Transformed Training Delivery with Arlo
The Problem
Taye Training (now Transform Your Training) is a values-led learning and development company delivering specialist training to frontline professionals across the UK. As demand grew, they were struggling to manage their training operations efficiently.
Everything, from course setup and facilitator comms to attendance tracking, certificates, and evaluations, was handled manually. This overwhelmed the small team, limited their ability to focus on quality training and delivery, and made it difficult to scale their successful training business.
The Solution
On the advice of a consultant, Taye implemented Arlo’s training management software. The impact was immediate. Arlo took over the heavy lifting of admin – automating registration, communication, attendance tracing, and post-course follow-up.
With Arlo’s built-in integrations, Taye now schedules courses and Zoom sessions directly from the platform. Learners automatically receive join links, calendar invites, reminders and certificates – creating a professional, reliable experience that supports their mission of delivering quality, accessible training.
By connecting Arlo with tools like SurveyMonkey and Zoom, Taye created an integrated learner management workflow, eliminating hours of manual work per course.

The Results
Arlo helped Taye cut administrative hours to minutes, reduce overhead, and free up leadership to focus on program expansion and sales and marketing.
The Arlo platform played a key role in enabling national tenders and supporting a fourfold growth in delegate numbers.
With a solid operational foundation in place, Taye now delivers over 90 course topics using Arlo as the central hub to manage training, nurture customer relationships, and continue growing their impact.
“We have grown the company x4 since using Arlo and have thousands more delegates. Part of this is due to now delivering national tenders for public services which we couldn’t do without a training management system.” Tammy Banks, Co-Founder, Taye Training.
From Manual Complexity to Scalable Growth: How International TEFL Academy Optimized Online Sales and Course Delivery with Arlo
The Problem
International TEFL Academy (ITA), a global leader in TEFL certification, had built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality online learning content and instructor-led training (ILT). But behind the scenes, the operation was weighed down by manual processes and a technology stack made up of different systems that didn’t integrate.
Their existing ecommerce platform couldn’t support the scale or sophistication needed to grow the entire training business.
Registration and checkout flows were clunky, marketing tools were siloed, and staff had to manually update information across systems—including their existing website, CRM, and eLearning platform. This complexity was preventing ITA from maximising revenue or delivering the kind of user experience their learners expected.
The Solution
Arlo provided a purpose-built training management software solution that acted as the central hub for ITA’s operations. With out-of-the-box integrations to Moodle (for hosting elearning courses), Salesforce, and HubSpot, ITA could eliminate manual duplication and finally sync its key systems.
Arlo’s website integration tools allowed courses to be published directly to their existing website, with a checkout flow that Stéphane Le Mentec, ITA’s Marketing Manager, called his “personal favorite feature.” Combined with features like course bundles, automated abandoned cart emails, and support for credit note recovery, ITA quickly transformed its fragmented stack into a cohesive platform designed for a successful training business.
To further improve results, ITA worked with Arlo’s Professional Services team to implement custom workflows, marketing automation, and tailored email journeys—turning their training organisation into a more agile, data-driven operation.

The Results
The impact was immediate:
- A+236% increase in self-service sales through the optimized online checkout in the first month alone
- A +340% increase in bundled product purchases, with higher average revenue per learner
- 50+ additional course registrations per month via abandoned cart campaigns
- A significantly reduced admin workload thanks to Arlo’s integrations and automation tools
Now operating from a single platform, ITA can manage their training operations from course creation and promotion to registration, delivery, and reporting.
The team can focus on growing the business, confident that Arlo’s training management system is powering every part of their training delivery.
