Hi Arlo Community!

I’m Jonny from Arlo, and I’m here to fill you in on our latest product release.

Let’s go!

Zoom

The ability to deliver your training live online is paramount in this environment. Helping you make this transition has been our number one priority these last couple of months.

Zoom is the most popular video conferencing platform in the world right now. Zoom is everywhere! And today, I’m happy to say that the first version of our new Zoom integration is available for you to use!

You could already use Zoom and Arlo in tandem, and many customers were, but now the experience is seamless. When you create a live online event in Arlo, simply select that it’ll be powered by Zoom, and the Zoom host. Everything else in the course setup process is the same as what you’re used to.

Here’s the magic. The event will then be automatically created in Zoom, Arlo registrations will automatically be sent to Zoom, and Zoom login details will automatically be sent to registrants and presenters. It’s really slick, and the whole course workflow is managed within Arlo.

It’s easy to setup too. You’ll need to buy a Zoom subscription, which starts at about $20 / month. Once you’ve got that, the process to connect this to your Arlo platform only takes a couple of minutes.

We have already started working on Zoom support for multi-session events, and after that will focus on managing Zoom registrations and attendance in Arlo.

So if you are ready to get started, there is a step-by-step guide in the Help Centre.

We’re excited to see what you think!

Learnbook LMS

After live online delivery, we think the next thing you should be thinking about in this environment is self-paced elearning.

Arlo already integrates with Moodle – the most widely used LMS in a world. It’s an awesome platform, but is not right for every situation, especially if you’re new to the world of elearning.

Enter Learnbook, which is an LMS that’s built on top of Moodle. It was conceived as an easy to use, cost-effective alternative to Moodle, and it does just that. Now, with Learnbook, you can easily add elearning activities, shared resources and collaboration tools to your training courses.

Learnbook comes pre-installed with the key plugins you’ll need, is hosted in the cloud and works beautifully with Arlo.

What’s more, the team at LearnBook have agreed to give Arlo customers very special pricing that you simply won’t find on their website.

Zapier and Flexible Communications (coming soon)

I also want to give you a sneak peek at two big features that are being tested right now by Product Lab customers.

The first is an integration with Zapier, which will allow you to automate data flows between Arlo and over 2000 other business applications. By having all your systems connected into Arlo, your team can focus and building great training businesses, not manually moving data around every day.

We’re also giving you more control of how your Arlo emails look. Soon you’ll be able to add your branding to the dozens of automated emails that are sent from Arlo every day.

Both of these features will be ready for general release very soon.

Coronavirus
Finally, I encourage you to take a look at our covid-19 resource centre. It’s packed with webinars, articles, case studies and new features that will help you navigate these times.

Conclusion

That’s the end of this product update.
