Hi Arlo Community, I’m Mark Bell, Head of Product, and I’m here to fill you in on our latest release.
Let’s jump in!
Deposits
Our ecommerce functionality helps training businesses around the world capture payments online and grow registrations.
Recently we added partial payments. Partial payments allow you to receive and manage partial payments in the back-end of your Arlo platform. In this release we will be rolling out Deposits.
Deposits allow you to take partial payments on your website checkout. Your customers can now pay a deposit upfront to secure their place, then pay the balance later. It’s super easy to enable deposits in our Arlo platform. Just tick the box and define your default settings. You can then enable and set the deposit amounts on specific items as you see fit, maybe on a course template, a session or even an option like a dinner meeting. From your checkout, your customers will be able to choose whether they want to pay in full or a deposit.
This added flexibility is huge if you’re a training provider offering expensive courses. Deposits is available on Professional and Enterprise Arlo subscriptions. Check out the support centre for more information on how to get started.
Customer portal for WordPress and Web Control integration
Recently we released the Customer portal, which allows your registrants to log in and quickly register on courses, see completed and future event information, manage transfers and more.
It gives your customers a better experience, while reducing manual administration for your team. Up until now, this has been available to customers who use our built-in Arlo website. From this release, you can also add the Customer Portal to websites that use our WordPress or Web Control integration methods!
There is a step-by-step video tutorial in the support center.
Multi-region enhancement
If you’re a training organisation offering courses across multiple regions or countries with differing currencies and tax rates, managing these courses is difficult, especially if you’re not using our multi-region functionality.
In this release, we have enhanced our multi-region functionality so you can set the price and tax for each region. Easy.
Conclusion
As 2019 comes to an end I want to say a huge thanks to all of you.
As CEO of Arlo it is still exciting when a new client comes on board and I can honestly say that every single time I have an interaction with a client I am blown away by the enthusiasm for the product you have and I am driven by the improvements you want.
I had the pleasure of spending time with one of our clients, recently, the St Johns and discussing their training operation. What they are achieving with the 360 degree understanding of their clients is amazing and something I took a lot out of. It is exciting to be part of such an organisation with Arlo supporting them at the core of what they do.
- On the same theme entering into 2020 we have a clear goal and vision to Build Better Customer Relationships and we have already set the foundations for this:
