APT Health & Safety has in-excess of 30 years experience within the Health and Safety industry. They deliver first aid training by qualified trainers, accredited through NEBOSH, CIEH, CITB, ECITB, IOSH, AoFA and UKATA. This training is both onsite and at their very own training facilities in the United Kingdom.

APT prides itself in their flexibility and deep knowledge of training requirements across different industries. This proves valuable in providing high-quality tailored courses to many businesses across the UK. With a growing business, APT found it hard to manage the volume of registrations coming in and the associated tasks related to managing these registrations. Prior to adopting Arlo everything was done manually and recorded in Excel.

Managing a training organisation as large as APT using only manual processes proved too inefficient and limited potential growth. The shift to a cloud-based training management solution had to be made.

APT adopted Arlo’s training management software in 2015. In a very short time frame Arlo had already helped to “automate our entire client journey.” Customers are able to register online using Arlo’s WordPress Plugin and all information is automatically pulled through to the Arlo management platform. Initial communication is also automatically sent to the registrant with all the information they need. Furthermore, Arlo automatically sends reminders closer to the course.

Reduced manual administration

APT immediately noticed a reduction in the manual administration they had to do. Course templates make running their recurring range of training easy, all course information is automatically kept up to date on their website. All data is automatically pulled through to their management platform and communication is sent automatically too.

Arlo’s WordPress Plugin provides a seamless user experience, completely styled to match the existing APT website, no one knows that they are using Arlo’s technology. Filters, a complete search system and beautiful looking pages, make it easy for website visitors to find the course that they are looking for within seconds.

Increased sales and marketing opportunities

The Arlo WordPress Plugin allows website visitors to register their interest for other courses, or other locations. APT’s sales teams can then follow these up to generate more business. Having all registrant and customer information in one place means it is easy for APT to identify individuals who have not yet completed a certain advanced course, or who are due for a refresher and send campaigns out to them.

Data to grow their business

For Martin especially, Arlo’s extensive reporting functionality gives him a good idea of how the business is tracking. “I get to see everything in the vast array of reports. On the off chance there isn’t a report already available for what I need, their support team are quick to build me one too so we can concentrate on running and growing our business.”
